Tip no. 2 : 5V DC Power Supply
5v DC power supply is basically a must for any kit project as Microcontroller and other components in a kit needs 5V power supply. Hence always keep ready a 5V DC power supply of 5A current capacity. Even if you have lot of time to start your project, go to electronic shop and get components and assemble a 5vDC power supply unit.
So let us make a 5V power which is able to handle upto 1.5A
Get the following components:
1. A general purpose eliminator(AC adapter) of 8-30V AC output and capable of giving upto 1.5A current output. (Note: The input voltage should be atleast 3 V above the output voltage(5V)
2. Rectifier diode 1N5392 or equivalent. Rate is of 1.5V average forward current and 50V reverse voltage.
3. A 100uF capacitor Rate is of atleast 35V
4. 5V voltage regulator IC TL7805 or equivalent. 7805 accepts 8 to 30V AC input and gives 5v output
5. soldering iron and resin core.
5v DC power supply. better make a 5A capacity power supply unit. | It should have LED lamp. provide a fuse also for safety. |
Tip 2: SIM 900 : A GSM Module
SIM900 is a GSM/GPRS module. You can use it in your project to access your demo project through mobile phone.
