GSM-Control Electrical Equipments from Remote

INTEGRATED ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM BASED ON GSM

An SMS is sent through the cell phone to a distant location GSM module by user programmable number upon a mis-call for any load interfaced from a micro controller through relay and relay driver to switch ON and switch OFF the same with acknowledgement sent back to the sender on SMS upon the action taken and the status of the load.

Cost of this project kit is around Rs.1000.  for more details visit edgefxkits.in

ABSTRACT:

The main objective of this project is to develop a project to control the appliance through SMS. Using any mobile a message is sent to another sim loaded GSM modem on board that receives the sms and feeds it to a level shifter IC MAX232 that feeds the data to a programmable microcontroller of 8051 family and the output logical data to relay driver IC that finally controls the home appliances or any load through its “Normally Open” contacts and then sending a confirmation from the GSM modem upon the status of the load based on the data received from the microcontroller. The desired number is auto saved on the microcontroller over a missed  call. All conditions are seen on a 16X2 display.
The power supply consists of a step down transformer 230/12V, which steps down the voltage to 12V AC. This is converted to DC using a Bridge rectifier and it is then regulated to +5V using a voltage regulator 7805 which is required for the operation of the microcontroller, GSM modem and other components
